This exciting event took place on Sunday 18th December at the Southville Centre, BS3. Acting Out and Launchpad worked in collaboration to produce a ‘play in a day’ with the local community. The workshop ran from 10am to 4pm with a dress rehearsal at 5pm. During this time we produced everything for the play; costumes, scenery, props and of course the play itself. Acting Out took responsibility for the play and Launchpad worked on the arty stuff!
We had a cast of over 50 adults and children aged 6 to 60. The performance took place in the evening and was a sell out.
Everyone involved worked incredibly hard, with the art work taking place in between rehearsing for the scenes. We had so much fun during what was an exciting and fantastic day.
Thank you to everyone involved in the Acting Out and Launchpad Pantomime and Workshop – a cast of 50 making and performing and creating a pantomime in one day- you were all incredible. Special thanks to The Southville Centre and to Saikat Ahamed for volunteering and all his help producing this special production.
The source from the Made in Bristol TV channel came to see us at the workshop and they broadcast the below clip on boxing day
