🌟 Who We Are
🎭 About Acting Out Drama
Acting Out has been running imaginative, inclusive drama workshops in South Bristol and beyond for over 10 years.
We work with children as well as adults in community and wellbeing settings, delivering engaging sessions that support creativity, confidence, and connection.
From after-school clubs and Shakespeare workshops to intergenerational storytelling and movement games for older people, we use drama to bring people together across ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
Our Values
At the heart of all our work are three core values:
- Inclusion – Our sessions are open to everyone, and we tailor our approach to meet a wide range of needs and abilities
- Creativity – We celebrate imagination, expression, and play in all its forms
- Confidence-Building – Whether you’re 5 or 85, drama helps people grow in confidence, voice, and connection

Our Commitment to Safety & Quality
The safety and wellbeing of the children and adults we work with is at the heart of everything we do.
All Acting Out facilitators and assistants hold Enhanced DBS certificates, and every session is led by staff with Safeguarding training. A Paediatric First Aider (12-hour certified) is present at all children’s classes and workshops.
Our team regularly take part in CPD training , work as performers and collaborate with other arts groups to keep our practice fresh, safe and effective.
