💛 Workshops for Children with Additional Needs
At Acting Out, we believe everyone should have the chance to experience the joy of drama. We create safe, supportive, and joyful spaces where children with additional needs can explore drama at their own pace and in their own way.
Our sessions are carefully tailored to suit different communication, sensory, and learning styles – whether that means using visual prompts, sensory play, music, or movement-based storytelling. The focus is always on inclusion, creativity, and confidence-building, allowing every child to feel valued and part of the story.
Each workshop is designed to nurture imagination, encourage self-expression, and celebrate individuality. We adapt activities to suit the needs of each group – ensuring that every child can engage fully, whether through acting, movement, sound, or design.
We’re are proud to be a regular drama provider for the Heswall Disabled Children’s Holiday Camp . We run themed drama workshops each year at their Barton Camp.
Our work in inclusive drama continues to grow through partnerships with festivals, schools, and community events across the South West, where we aim to make theatre-making accessible, empowering, and fun for everyone.
